Everything in the park is in the lushishness of spring. This bridge has been the subject of a few of my pieces over the years. Some elements that would have been fun to include but taken the focus would have been a young women spanning the pond in a star position, arms high to the sky, just under the bridge while a young man snapped her pictures with his phone, and an even younger couple instantly making out on a bench just outside the frame of my drawing on the left. Sometimes the things we leave out say more than what we put in. Leaving the drawing in contour, for example, instead of imposing shading and blending. It was a wonderful hour and a half exercise.
